Nilmthemar

This oasis city is on the eastern coast of Dritath and is the capital of Mosea. On one side is the ocean, and the opposite side is a large cliff edge. It stands alone on the plateau, separated from the rest of the continent by the giant, Ashbourne Desert. It's a mostly free city, with the controlling organization being the Sunshields. They are a peacekeeping organization with a non-violent approach to ruling. They have a large temple in the center of the city that is a place for worship, ceremonies, and trails.
The richer inhabitants live right around the temple, while the lower class beings live closer to the edge of the plateau. The city is surrounded by large gold pillars that protect the city from attack. When threatened, the Sunshields use the crystal lotus in the temple to harness the power of the sun and create a barrier around the city, that's impenetrable.
