Akulltes (Ar-cool-tes)

The Akulltes are large winged beasts that are split onto three different sub-species, the Poacean Akulltes, Celestic Akulltes, and Cumulonimbi Akulltes. All prey on mammals, fish, and other birds.
The Poacean Akulltes, more commonly known as great eagles, are found mainly in the skies of Nokressen but are also occasionally sighted in Wynmildisspic. These ones are the biggest of the three and have dark brown feathers with white highlights, they have high-definition vision which allows them to easily locate prey against the grass plains.
Celestic Akulltes are found only in Kinsheyo, their common name are grand eagles. These are slightly smaller than the Poacean Akulltes and have lighter feathers with golden highlights. Like the Poacean Akulltes they have high-definition vision thou tend to hunt during dawn and dusk to avoid the harsh sun during the day. 
The Cumulonimbi Akulltes, more commonly referred to as the great thunder bird, are the most unique of the three as they are found exclusively in the Arzeltien skies. They have evolved to have lighter coloured feathers in order to blend more easily into the clouds, they also have developed infrared vision instead of, this infrared vision is useful in hunting as the heat emitted by their prey stands out harshly against the cold environment of Arzeltien.
