Kavzar is the gleaming engine of dwarven precision and magical integration. Dug deep into the crystalline bedrock of Mount Harok's shoulder, the city reflects the cold, shimmering light of the fragment veins that snake through its walls and streets. The Clan of Steel, long known for bridging tradition and innovation, governs here with mechanical discipline and clockwork efficiency. High Forgemaster Thrain Steelmantle is a methodical, battle-tempered leader who views city planning like crafting a perfect blade—each part has purpose, each flaw is unacceptable. The city’s heart is the Fragment heart Mine, a glowing pit of refractive arcane crystal that powers both Kavzar’s forges and its defenses.
Districts
Shardspan Reach: A glittering residential and administrative quarter overlooking the upper edges of the mine. Homes and halls are built from shardstone that hums faintly with magical resonance. It's also where clan leadership and guild administrators reside.
The Forgeline: The largest industrial quarter, home to magitech forges, smithies, and engineering workshops. Devices here range from rune-fueled hammers to prototype construct limbs. Sparks and arcane glyphs light every workbay.
Crystalroot Tunnels: Active mining tunnels that spiral downward into the living crystal matrix of the mountain. Dangerous but breathtaking, this zone is worked by elite miners known as “Shardborn,” who carry enchanted picks and work in silence.
Vault of the Arcsteel Host: A sealed underground military zone housing Kavzar’s warforged guardians and prototype constructs. The Vault trains new steel-clad soldiers, imprints golems, and defends the city from within using shard-powered mechanisms.
Fragment Mine: Kavzar is home to one of the three major fragment mines in the dwarven lands. this being the largest.
