Auris Prime

Auris Prime

Population: ~85,000
Location: Built into the Crownspire Mountains, accessible only by the narrow and fortified Path of Sanctity. It serves as the only land pass from east to west Eryndor and is strategic for all trade and military movements from east to west.

Auris Prime is a vision of holiness sculpted into stone—a mountain fortress wrapped in light. From its golden gates to its crystal-paneled towers, the capital of the Bastions of Solara gleams with divine architecture, radiant banners, and endless proclamations of purity. Statues of winged warriors cast long shadows over sun-washed streets, and choirs echo from white-marble arches. To the world, it is the city of angels. To those who live within its walls, it is a theater of virtue and velvet control.

Citizens dress in radiant whites and silvers, faces painted in ritual purity, smiles held with subtle tension. Light is everywhere, yet the air is thick with surveillance and quiet judgments. Public righteousness is demanded. Private ambition is rampant.

Districts

The Luminarch:

The highest tier of the city, housing the Solar Spire and the Council Chambers. Bathed in magically sustained daylight, this district is inaccessible to the general public without an official Crest of Worth. Here, the Highlords rule behind veils of gold and righeousness, seemingly untouched by dust or doubt.

Gleamgate Commons:

A sprawling civic district where citizens live, shop, and worship. Obelisks project hymns, prayers and sermons on loop. Every street and square is lined with shrines to virtue, watched by the silent eyes of Dawnward Legionnaires and silver-robed clerks.

Emberfold:

The industrial belly of Auris Prime, where divine weapons and relics are forged for war. Overseen by the Order of the Dawnbound Anvil, this district smolders beneath enchanted vents and prayer-bound smithies. It is also where criminals are quietly “redeemed” through labor.

The Hollow Steps:

An unofficial, nearly forgotten layer beneath the city. Its tunnels and dim shrines are home to the poor, the heretical, and the disillusioned. Whispers here speak of a group called the Ashwings, who resist Solara’s hypocrisy with ink, blade, and stolen fire. it is home to the best taverns in Auris Prime, most notably the "Rowdy Temple". which is a place of worship for many.

The Highlords of Solara

Auris Prime is ruled by three radiant figures known as the Highlords, each representing one of the divine virtues—at least in title. Publicly, they are the guardians of Solara’s ideals. In truth, they are cunning rulers playing a careful game of image and dominance.

Highlord Kaelion Draeven, Lord of Valor, is the shining face of Solara’s military might. Towering and silver-haired, always clad in immaculate golden plate, Kaelion commands the Dawnward Legions with relentless pride. To his people, he is a war hero; to his peers, a patient strategist who fuels conflict just enough to justify endless military training and spending. He never starts wars he merely sees they end favorably with perfect optics.

Highlord Seris Valrien, Lord of Wisdom, keeps the wheels of law turning. He moves with quiet grace, dressed in robes of starlight blue, his voice always calm. Seris crafts the decrees that shape daily life across Solara, carefully balancing contradictions within the Solar Creed to allow both justice and exception. he is able to shift the perception of law depending on who’s asking. His bureaucracy is vast, his records flawless, and his neutrality not but a mask. he is also the highest judge of the Bastions of Solara, cases brought before him are never simple.

Highlady Marcelline Aestra, Lady of Mercy, is the public heart of Auris Prime. She appears radiant and compassionate, her voice soft as snowfall, her robes embroidered with symbols of healing and light. Through her, Solara’s hospitals, orphanages, and relief efforts thrive. Her mercy is real, but always leveraged. Where Seris rules with quills and Kaelion with swords, Marcelline rules with promises no one dares break. she is the chief diplomat and all kings know her face.

Cultural Tone

  • Public Behavior: Controlled, ceremonial, reverent. Every act is a performance of grace and loyalty.
  • Private Truths: Corruption is hidden behind veils of holiness. Power pays well.
  • Military Presence: The Dawnward Legions patrol like angels made flesh, beautiful and terrifying.
  • Religion: The Solar Creed is not just a faith—it is law. Officially benevolent. Quietly brutal.

Auris Prime is light with little warmth, law with sparce justice, and order with conditional mercy. Yet from its mountaintop throne, it shines on—untouched, unchallenged, and very carefully admired.
