Garagar

Garagar, the first expansion of Alarean, was founded 213 years after the City of Alarean . It was created as a storage location and extension of the farms to increase the capacity of their grain harvest. To this day you may still notice it as the town contains a number of warehouses, a few of the original ware houses are still used to this day. Some are used as Ale or beer warehouses or transformed into open spaced taverns or inns. Garagar grew as Alarean bloomed and became the primal location for Ale brewing. It houses some of the most famous ones, like Deabru, in Pikor.   The town lies near Alarean proper and is the closest to the city. This has caused a closer relation to the town and city than other settlements have with the city of Alarean. Nobles, when bored of the city, often travel to Garagar to spend their coin. Apart from city folk passing through, it is common for travelers and merchants to pass through Garagar when they cannot afford or do not like the city life. Thanks to the abundance of inns, Garagar is able to accomodate the great fluctuations in volumes of residents.   The town center is unusually large compared to other towns since more room is required to house the warehouses.

Government

Lord Bestera Oakheart has been appointed mayor of Garagar by the city council of Alarean, he is supported by a small town council that consists of the more influential people of Garagar. These are often the noble families residing in Garagar.   He resides in the town hall of Garagar that can be found in the town 's center.

Defences

The defenses of Garagar aren't great. the town has guards patroling around keeping the peace. However there are no walls or gates surrounding the town.

Infrastructure

As previously mentioned, you will find an abundance of Inns and Storage facilities. With plenty of merchants passing through every week, the town square and its marketplace changes in variety. One day you may find a bunch of merchants selling magical scrolls they obtained from other sources, another day you may find a fancy robe merchant selling his finest cloth from the neighbouring province. One thing is certain however, there will always be a small brewer trying to sell his newest Ale.
