Temmielian Proposal

Temmies use this proposal to find a mate, which is an important decision since they mate for life. This is less of a tradition and more of an evolutionary trait, because their genetic ancestors, crag cats, did the same thing, presenting a gift of food to a potential mate to show that they can provide what another needs. The Temmielian Proposal is a bit different because the gift can be many things, such as flowers, jewelry, a well-cooked meal, or a tool kit, anything to show that they know the other person enough to know what kind of gifts they like. The receiver will then decide whether or not to they would like to enter a relationship with the giver. This does not mean that they will get married, it just means they will be in a relationship with them until they have chosen either them or another mate to marry, whom they will spend the rest of their life with. This form of proposal is as common for temmies as a marriage proposal with a ring on earth. Some people use Temmielian Proposals as their own way of proposing marriage or any other nonmarital relationship.

History

This proposal has been a part of what it is to be a temmie since before temmies gained sentience. Crag cats mate for life, so the decision needs to be proper and final for them. Their genetic ancestors, crag cats, did the same thing, presenting a gift of food to a potential mate.

Execution

You must know another person's likes and dislikes and what gift suits them the best to properly execute this proposal, or risk being rejected.

Components and tools

The gift is the most variable part of the tradition. It can be virtually anything, from a platinum ring to the severed claw of a wolf.

Participants

There are only two participants, the giver, and the receiver.
