Outlands, The

The Outlands as an organization was a loose collection of free settlements that do not report to any higher governments. The main goal of these settlements was total freedom, with no unified organization. This held up for about 500 years until The Capital went to town on The Outlands' resources, and creating a superior ruler. The Outlands as a government was dissolved almost imminently. Their successor organisations were The Rebelion and The OIA.

Structure

The Outlands were a complete anarchist nation before the takeover of 79', but after the Battle of The Capital, Outlands began building infrastructure whilst preserving the anarchy the nation and its people want.

Culture

The people of The Outlands are strong believers in total freedom and anarchy, feeling that living your own life is the way that everyone should live.

Public Agenda

Most city slickers that dwell outside The Outlands think of them as crude barbaric people, while they are actually people that want to live their life free of taxes and kingdom laws.

History

The Outlands as a country has been a loose society, with settlements governing themselves and occasionally trading with each other, and no one having more control then another over any part.

Disbandment

The original framework of The Outlands was destroyed and replaced by the dictatorship of The Capital in 779 ATGI.

The population of The Outlands was about, 1 mil humans, 500,000 tems, 300,000 dwarves, 8,000 elves, and 5,000 other races. Almost every major settlement in The Outlands is very diverse, except for the far north, which is mostly inhabited by dwarves and tems.

Technological Level

With the brainpower of the tems of the north, The Outlands has an extremely high level of tech compared to the other nations, even close to inventing the first flintlock pistols.

The Outlands had a strong neutral relationship with all other parts of the world, not feeling one way or the other about them, except for their strong aversion to authority.

Most outlanders are farmers, looking to the ground for their fulfillment.

The Outlands have a wide variety of raw and manufactured materials, lumber, ores, jewelry, cattle, crops, and other things are all part of the vast economy of The Outlands.

The Outlands's peoples are often educated for specific professions such as a blacksmith, carpenter, or wizard.

Infrastructure

The Outlands originally had almost no infrastructure other than dirt roads between cities paved by foot traffic. Now, with the OIA, more public works are being built.
