Contrary to common trope in popular games, in which one finds artifacts and hears legends of ancient world, Erkar was created with the beggining of time in mind. Here you get to build new cultures and shape the future.

Current campaigns take place few centuries after creation of magic, and few thousands of years after the beginning of time. Many places, in which adventures take place, are still in a stage of cultural development.
