Shadow in the Rapture

While mortal, Shadow was a paladin, known for her constitution and vitality. She was part of a powerfull adventuring group with Felser, Khor, Lin, Symath Tun and Sybell. While traveling through Lionirre group noticed strange, magical things happening around them. It wasn't magic that anybody knew as it was't primordial, nor naturalistic nor divine. It was a new form of magic pulsating in the air. Turns out, that the magical laylines that allow the transfer of magic from one place to another were clogged by too much spells being cast around the world. These lines all crossed eachother in (then) center part of Lionirre (todays location of Floating Islands, so south part of todays borders). These clogged pipes of sorts started leaking creating many magical anomalies. After a while this magic started coming together and forming a monster. Greater then other titans and more powerfull then anybody, later called Aspect of Arkana, was more chaotic then them most chaotic of gods. It needed to be stopped. All titans, deities and mortals fought the beast together. They were even joined by devils and celestials and some other outsiders, since AoA was more than a planetary threat. Shadow and her team were one of the stronges mortals at the time and were leading attacks against the monster. After ten years of endless fighting they somehow won. AoA expoded into pieces, scattering arcana around the world.
All members of the party miraculously survived the war and were awarded godhood and patronage over their respectible virtues: Shadow ofconstitution, Helm of strength, Delleb of inteligence, St. Cuthbert of wisdom, Lin of charisma and Sybell of dexterity. Later those traits became a canon and standard for future adventures to live up to.

Myth of magic

Not only they were awarde patronage of trais, some were given bigger domains. One, new, domain in particular became vacant. Domain over magic. Delleb wanted it for himself and entered a magical duel with Algalas, his life-long rival, over it. Their duel lasted for days since both were eachothers equal. Qa, as a god of justice, decided to give the dominion to Boccob. Warried over Boccob corruptable nature and the fact that Whisper wanted more power and was watching the duel closely, Shadow decided to make a risque move. She yanked the domain of primordial magic for herself to protect it with her, now immortal, life, leaving Boccob with only dominion over arcana (since naturalistic and divine magic can't necessarily be controlled by only one deity) and Whisper enraged and planing her revange against Shadow.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Shadow is connected with many deities, mostly associated with Algalas, Daramunz, Raven, Symath Tun and Whisper.
Shadow and Algalas are not in good relations, and they never were. While alive Algalas was a rival of other Rapture Deities, but when Shadow swiftly and stealthily took dominion of primordial magic from Algalas's grasp, she became one of his biggest enemies, who he now hates with passion.
Shadow and Daramunz have friendly relations since both care about protecting and keeping thing safe - in Shadow's case it's keeping primordial magic from other, corruptable deities, sush as Algalas or most importantly Whisper.
Shadow, when mortal, was a paladin of Raven and it was Raven who later blessed Shadow into godhood. They are very close to eachother as friends but also as allies against Whisper.
Shadow and Symath Tun know eachother from mortal lives. They were friends in an adventuring party. Even though they don't have a lot of dealing with eachother, they share particular bond becouse of simmilar personalities and outlook on life.
Whipser is main enemy of Shadow. Whisper also wanted the domain over primordial magic before Shadow grabbed it for herself.
