Erithal

A universe built on the basis of madness and deceit. Creatures from the Far Realms infiltrate and eventually assimilate entire planets, an offering to an eldritch being known as Gath'ylnr the Annhilator. Gath'ylnr has destroyed countless worlds, and many cults have sprung up around Erithal, spurred on by the agents of Annhilator. They sow discord and death in an attempt to draw Gath'ylnr's gaze to Erithal.   Two secret rival factions exist. Two sides of the same coin. The Protectors and The Destroyers. Often at each others throats, they bring a delicate balance to the world.   The pages of a legendary book known as the Necronomicon have been spread around Cardinal, waiting to be found so that their accursed words can bring ruin to the minds of those who find them.   With the invention of firearms - inspired by the weaponry used by devils and demons - warfare may never be the same. Although mostly limited to larger nations and states, the black market surrounding firearms thrives as bandits and other ne'er-do-wells get their hands on this weaponry.
