In the beginning, the gods were creative beings, playful beings even. They walked freely amongst the world and were a part of all of the planes. But as time went on their closeness to this world was torn apart leaving those left behind to figure out the pieces on their own.   Jealous of elven magic a human inventor sought to give humans what they did not naturally possess and used technology to create parodies of innate elven abilities. These advanced weapons brought great power to humanity and great danger to all others.   When the elven city fell to a great and terrible dragon there was nothing to do but try to rebuild and regrow. The dwarves and humans formed a council and from them Maidis was rebuilt as Deyen- a city of hope, and prosperity.   We begin now in a time of technological growth. There are great efforts being made to reconnect the globe with digital technology and create a concerted effort to rebuild better and together. But many still stand in the way of peace.
