The Elements

Affinities are classified by the perceived effect, though the lines are often drawn arbitrarily according to each creator. The origins of the system are unknown but archaeological sites reveal that a similar system existed during prehistoric times. Many variations of the elements exist but currently the most popular is Arstganto's Ten.   A list of the elements, the associated colour and examples of affinities that are most commonly considered to align to the element.

Flesh

Red fittingly corresponds with affinities relating to "the flesh." These include:
  • Shapeshift (cause physical mutations to oneself and/or others)
  • Heal
  • Impenetrable skin

The Under

Affinities that affect the soil, ground, plants etc.
  • Transmute metals
  • Accelerate plant growth
  • Create earthquakes

Water

  • Manipulating liquid water
  • Aquatic respiration
  • Turning oneself into water

The Above

  • Creating wind
  • Controlling local weather
  • Create blasts of lightning

Cold

  • Freeze water and other liquids
  • Turning oneself into ice

Heat

  • Create and manipulate fire
  • Melt ice
  • Manipulating lava, magma, volcanoes

Light

  • Create light
  • Manipulate electricity

Shadow

  • Turn oneself into a shadow
  • Invisibility
  • Blocking out light

Mind

  • Telekinesis
  • Telepathy

The Mysteries

  • Manipulate gravity
  • Manipulate time
  • Create matter & energy
  Affinities may align to multiple elements. For example:
  • Inflict lacerations at will - Flesh & Mind
