The Order of Helios
The Order of Helios is a group of holy paladins that have dedicated themselves to the Titan God of the Sun. They are known for their shining, radiant armour and their skill in hunting undead creatures.
Structure
The Order of Helios has no mortal leader, as the teachings of Helios say that no mortal is above another mortal. Instead, the Order is managed by Paladins to Helios, who train their initiates and wander the earth, hunting the undead either alone or with a partner. Priests to Helios also exist, and they act as Oracles, allowing their God to speak through them.
Public Agenda
The Order of Helios has the ultimate goal of anihilating all undead in existence, as they see them as both an arogant defiance to the natural order of things and as unholy monsters that prey on the innocent.
Assets
The Order of Helios has large armouries within their temples, and each temple is heavily fortified for their security. Each temple also has a small library containing the knowledge of generations of monsterhunters, fighting techniques and military strategies.
Tenets of Faith
Honour. Once you give your word, you must never break it.
Modesty. Ego invites punishment for the purpose of humility.
Determination. You must hold to your purpose, no matter what challenges you face.
Worship
Helios does not care for conventional worship, and instead asks for his followers to live by his virtues and to hunt down undead abominations. Because of this, few sacrifices are made to him but when they do sacrifice something it is often a battle trophy from powerful undead that have fallen by their hand.
Granted Divine Powers
Those who worship Helios have their weapons glow with a radiant, golden light, that can burn their targets and is especially dangerous to undead.
Many who worship Helios can temporarily see everything that is being touched by direct sunlight within 5km from their curreny position.
Some of Helios' faithful are able to cause severe holy burns to be afflicted upon all of their opponents that are standing in direct sunlight.
