Sleep Incarnate

Of all the Chthonic Gods, the only one that has never been feared by mortals is Hypnos, Sleep Incarnate. He may be the younger brother of Death, but Hypnos does not share his lethality.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Hypnos has the appearance of a young man with light grey skin, curly medium length silver hair, and glowing grey eyes.

Special abilities

The mere existence of Hypnos is what compels all mortals to sleep for a third of their lives. In return for taking part of their life, he brings dreams and nightmares to mortals, giving them inspiration and warnings.

Apparel & Accessories

Hypnos wears a fine red robe insulated with fur on the inside. These robes were made to make Hypnos look respectable, whilst also being comfortable enough for him to sleep in.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Despite not being an icredibly powerful God, Hypnos has gotten the better of Zeus twice, tricking him into sleeping for long periods of time so that the other Gods may preform acts that Zeus would not approve of. The only reason Zeus has not killed him is that when Zeus came for him, Hypnos hid behind his mother, Nyx.

Intellectual Characteristics

Hypnos is incredibly creative and artistic. He choses to express his creativiity in the dreams of mortals, inspiring them to do great deeds through dreams, and making them aware of their fears through nightmares. These dreams are then brought to mortals by Hermes.

Hypnos is incredibly slow to anger, and almost always keeps a cheerful, if sleepy, demeanour. The fact that provoking him takes so much effort means that it is incredibly hard to manipulate or toy with him.
Due to his laid back manner, Hypnos is rather patient and rarely makes any impulsive decisions.

Vices & Personality flaws

To call Hypnos lazy would be an understatement, as the embodiment of Sleep, Hypnos enjoys to rest more than any other entity in existence.
