Personal history

Ember was born into a middle-class working family in Judicata, whose social status and standing was of the upmost importance. As soon as Ember reached her tween years, her family immediately began advertising what they saw as her "feminine virtue" to the wealthiest and most powerful families of the city. When she was eleven, her family made a deal to receive enough gold and land that they would not need to work again, and secure their position on the guest lists for all of prestigious parties, in exchange for a virgin bride once she had flowered. Knowing that her betrothed is the widower of two late wives, both meeting their end once succumbing to their severe injuries and internal bleeding after falling down the stairs of the family manor, Ember lived each day in fear after that contract was signed.   Ember never felt like she was part of the family, but rather their golden goose, and only found herself happy when in the company of her only friend, Ukamar, the young, strong, and handsome half-orc stable hand who worked in the city. Ukamar and Ember spent every afternoon together once his stable duties were completed. They enjoyed riding horses together, swimming in the local lake, and picnicking at the base of the weeping willows. As most people in the city looked down on Ukamar because of his race, they spent most of their time together in the forest, away from the squinting judgmental eyes and rude comments that could be heard under people's breath when they passed.   Ember concealed her maturity from her family for years with extreme caution and some early developing abilities in charm. When she was sixteen, her friendship with Ukamar became more romantic and physical. However, this did not last long until it was discovered by her family. Enraged that these actions would break off the engagement contract, Ember was disowned by her family and banished from their home. Only when she reached the outskirts of the city did she hear that Ukamar had been accused of rape, lost his position of employment, and beaten in the street.   Ember found a place for herself in the Druid society. Her only happy memories in life had been in the forest and she wanted to learn all she could about plants and animals and learn to become at one with them. After proving herself competent by surviving the druidic rituals and tests, she set out into the world.   Ember found herself living in a small cottage in the woods just outside of a human village between Greed's End and The Withered Woods with her companion Ursa the black bear where she began her communion with the god Obad-Hai. Members of the village began to befriend Ember when encountering her in the forest and she was able to heal some of their minor wounds.   After a small infatuation amongst the villages less educated members became more of a cult following, Ember packed a small bag and once again, headed back out into the world to continue to learn everything about nature.

Ember is open to partners of the same and opposite sex, and while she tends to be more attracted to humans and elves, she tries to avoid the company of Cleric's as their religious ramblings are a poor excuse for pillow talk. Partners are chosen carefully and always kept discrete, with exception to her first partner, Ukamar the half-orc stable hand, whose relationship became very public shining a light on the discord between her and her family and shattered the engagement contract with her betrothed.

Education

Abandoned traditional schooling when she was 16 after being disowned and banished by her family. Realizing that the world truly is survival of the fittest, Ember turned to nature and focused on gaining knowledge about plants and animals and found community with the druidic society.

Employment

Earns coin by healing the minor wounds the members of the local village and selling herbs and vegetables from the garden in the local market.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Survived the secret rituals and tests of the Druids, proving to be competent enough to strike out into the world alone.

Failures & Embarrassments

Ember feels shame for physical and emotional pain her relationship with Ukamar caused him. He loved her, and though she appreciated his kindness and friendship, she knew taking him to her bed would be nothing but trouble for him. When their joining was discovered, she was disowned and banished by her family. But Ukamar, being half-orc, was villainized, accused of rape, lost his position of employment and was beaten in the streets.   Unwillingly found herself the leader of a cult, whose members were not the most intelligent.

Ember is motivated by her desire to learn more about plants and animals.   Ember will also take any action necessary for self preservation.   Ember is also motivated by a desire to protect nature from harmful actions of those who are either ignorant or intentionally causing damage.

Likes & Dislikes

Dislikes religions based on a god instead of focusing on nature.   Dislikes people who put their efforts in social status and standing.   Likes meditating in the woods.   Likes drum music.   Likes flat bread with olive oil, tomatoes, basil and white cheese.

Vices & Personality flaws

Has a tendency to drink too much wine, especially in a group setting. Luckily, she doesn't sped too much time with other people.   Can be sarcastic to avoid revealing her true heart to other people.   Can be perceived as condescending when talking to others who she views as inferior or incompetent.

Hygiene

Just because she lives in the woods doesn't mean she doesn't keep it clean. Prefers soaps made with herbs from the garden such as rosemary and lavender.

Recently healed and recovered from betrayal and exile from her family. Communes with the god Obad-Hai to become one with nature. Currently escaping a small cult following and now venturing out into the world in search of great wonders and knowledge.
