Sengtel valley

The Sengtel valley is a fertile land protected on three sides by mountains as tall as the sky and Wessen lake in the West. With rivers and canals throughout the valley, crops and animals prospered when it was farmland. Many of the rivers were encouraged from the mountains by the people who settled or later for more farmers, most by magic and a couple with technology. This haven supports a large variety of plants and animals, many of which were enhanced, changed, or even created to improve the lives of the people who live here. Erde has grown into a metropolis, forcing all unaltered plant and animal life into the mountains.

Geography

Sengtel valley is nestled peacefully in the Northern most part of the Fiale mountain range which stretches North to South on the continent of Sehen. Several glaciel rivers, as well as some spring-fed streams, run through Sengtel South-West to Wessen lake. The mountains are comparable in size to Mt. Everest and snow capped year-round with vegetation reaching only one-half to two-third of the way up, depending on the mountain.

Fauna & Flora

So much of the flora and fauna has been altered by magic or science to the point that everything has a use. There was an abundance of wildlife with large and small animals such as grizzly and brown bears, foxes, pika, mountain goats, songbirds such as the mountain bluebird, and birds of prey such as the bald eagle and red-tailed hawk. All lived in this region, all were subsequently captured and altered to serve new purposes. Erde has grown into a metropolis, forcing all unaltered plant and animal life into the mountains. Magical creatures such as unicorns and griffons are allowed to remain unchanged.

Natural Resources

The natural resources are effectively and quickly cultivated, harvested and mined. They are so effective, in fact, that the non-renewable resources, such as precious metals and natural gasses, which have been being actively sought, will be depleted completely from the area within 50 miles of the city in the next decade or so.
