Session Report 83

General Summary

After the erinyes and barbed devils fled, the Muskrats were able to bring Dami back to a normal state. Following the devils, Itzal stumbled upon a chest that held the head of an old homeless man named Stinky. Sympathetic for the head, Itzal fed him Tev's decaying ear. The Muskrats shut the chest and continued further and found a group of resistance fighters and spoke to a man named Varney Thornbrook. Varney explained how his group had been blowing up devils, but recently hadn't had much success. He also told the Muskrats that his wife Violet was missing and that Verni was not actually Violet's sister, but Varney's ex who wanted to find and kill Violet. He then informed the group of man by the name of Eustass, who was undercover as a corpse gatherer. He was said to be located at the Ugliest Magpie.
Ascending from the sewers the group made their way to the Ugliest Magpie. They found the road it was on being patrolled by devils. Itzal made a bright distraction for the Muskrats to get around the devils, but it came at the expense of an innocent family's lives. Sloan could only let out a tear hearing the loss of innocent lives. Eventually they arrived at the Ugliest Magpie, and while most of the group remained back; Cambio went and spoke to who they presumed to be Eustass. Cambio's chat seemed suspicious to Eustass and he seemed worried about the rest of the group lurking in the shadows. However, as he was about to leave a group of devils ambushed them.
Combat began and quickly the devils outnumbered the muskrats. Dami was quickly swarmed by bearded devils and Tazmeth made way to assist. Sloan, Cambio, and Itzal remained up with Eustass and fought the ice devil and horned devils. Dami and Tazmeth were able to fend off the bearded devils, but a few bone devils also appeared. However, Sloan's summon was able to help distract the bone devils until it was grappled.
