Session Report 82

General Summary

The horrid battle against the devils in the sewers continued. In the midst of the battle, Itzal disappeared. Sloan theorized that the poor tortle fell down a poop chute and suffered a terribly smelling death. Rest of the Muskrats attempted to rally. The erinyes continued to fire arrows into the fray. She showed an especially strong hatred towards Dami and made her the target of numerous attacks. Tazmeth saw an opportunity and charged the chort. Channeling his ki, he sent a stunning blast ebbing through the chort. Tazmeth had successfully stunned the chort! The Muskrats focused their attacks on the chort and delivered a quick death. The erinyes retreated and the Muskrats assumed it was to warn her allies. 
Tazmeth quickly drank a Potion of Speed and charged through the tunnels of the sewer to try and hunt down the erinyes. Meanwhile, Sloan was faced with a tough choice. Dami was dying and Sloan was faced with the difficult decision on whether to heal her or not. Seeing no other option Sloan prayed to Selune asking for Dami to restore her but not to heal her magically. While rather confusing, Selune obliged and nearly completely restored Dami. Dami felt disgusted having been tainted by a celestial power. Standing up Dami landed one of the most powerful strikes she ever had to cleanse the celestial taint and restore her fiendish aura. Feeling especially heinous, she sent the soul of the bearded devil back to the Nine Hells. Having brought Dami back, Sloan and Dami continued down the tunnels of the sewers. 
Tazmeth scouted ahead and found an ice devil waiting for him. He retreated to warn the other Muskrats and soon a stalemate between the two sides started. Dami rapidly grew tired of the stalemate and charged into the fray. Much to the surprise of the Muskrats, the ice devil created walls of ice that sealed Dami off from the rest of the Muskrats. From around the corner a chort appeared. Moments later a second chort appeared in the poop chute below Dami. The first chort cast haste on the ice devil and he started to unleash extremely damaging strikes against Dami. Dami struck back and was surprised to see that the ice devil's carapace began to swell and molt. The ice devil continued to place ice walls blocking off the tunnels to reach the ice devils much to the frustration of Cambio. Tazmeth used his Gi to phase through the walls of the sewers and charged the chort who was concentrating on haste for the ice devils. He began to pummel the devil but his strikes were not enough to break the concentration of the chort. Tazmeth retreated and regrouped with the Muskrats. 
Dami continued her slugfest with the ice devil. At the same time, Dami was the prime target for the erinyes, the chorts, and the barbed devil as they all teed off on her. Sloan finally broke through the ice walls and charged in to face one of the chorts. Using his moonbeam he inflicted serious radiant damage upon the devils. Slowly the tide of the battle began to shift. The ice devil fell first. Dami's undying body and powerful strikes won the battle of attrition with the ice devil. With the ice devil defeated, Cambio was finally able to see his targets and his eldritch blasts quickly began to fell opponents. Sloan retreated with a chort hot on his heels, but Dami followed and slew another of her brethren. The erinyes and a few of the barbed devils retreated. The Muskrats now faced an issue of how to save Dami. She would die if she wasn't healed or if healed she would fly into a maddening rage. What path would the Muskrats choose?
