Session Report 76

General Summary

Sloan was face to face with a blood hag. Masses of plant, water, and mud were beginning to move towards Sloan. Fey composed of wind began to whirl around the forest. The Muskrats had fallen for a trap. The blood hag attacked Slaon ferociously clawing his face in an attempt to rip it off. The strikes left Sloan reeling in pain. Itzal rushed back to try and aid Cambio who was rapidly being surrounded. On his way back, Itzal took a massive strike to his back from one of the swamp men that nearly cracked his shell like an egg. Stumbling he made it to Cambio. As soon as he arrived, lightning began to rain down on him and Cambio as the alas sent blasts of lightning towards the two. Itzal and Cambio began to rain fireballs down on the enemy and soon their ranks began to thin out. Meanwhile, Sloan was attacked by many of the swamp men and his moral was rapidly deteriorating due to the disappearances of many of the Muskrats, who left their friends to fend for  themselves. The blood hag charged Cambio in attempt to take him down. Itzal and Sloan turned and aided Cambio by raining magic down on the hag killing her. The trio of Muskrats finished up the other enemies rather quickly. Licking their wounds the Muskrats regrouped, caught their breath, and then continued on. 
Moving on from the fight with the blood hag, the Muskrats reached a two-hundred foot tall glowing blue mushroom. The mushroom continually produced blue spores and there was a strong gravitational pull that allowed the Muskrats to walk vertically up the mushroom. Upon investigation the Muskrats discovered a drunk fairy named Declan. Cambio had taken the form of a fairy, appearing much larger than a typical fairy would. Declan mistook Cambio for a fairy god named Winnie, who he had been praying to for help for many months. Winnie and Sloan began to ask Declan various other questions about what was happening in the area, and why no other fairies were around. Declan explained that the blood hags had been hunting down the fairies. Those few who survived abandoned the village and fled for safer areas of the Feywild. Declan remained holding out hope that Winnie, his savior, would eventually arrive. Right before leaving Declan, Winnie and Sloan were given a nice tidbit of information. Up ahead the Muskrats would find a river that Ulthe and Ushaka would be guarding. If the Muskrats crossed the river without killing her or gaining her permission, they would end up back on the side from which they had come. Declan warned to not stray into the water, but also that the Muskrats would not be safe on the land either. 
Soon the Muskrats reached the river and they saw huge spinosauruses on the other side of the river. The Muskrats, having gained Tazmeth, jumped into action. Itzal and Cambio started making their way up the riverbank. Sloan held his position by the broken bridge. Tazmeth charged across the bridge and when jumping from one side to other of the broken bridge a massive shark, Ushaka, lunged out of the water and bit at Tazmeth inflicting a terrible wound upon him. He made it the other side but was quickly attacked by Ulthe who emerged from the water and pierced him with a harpoon. This would begin a terrible sequence of events for Tazmeth. He was soon charged by the dinosaurs, Ulthe unleashed strike after strike, and Ushaka would appear and take a bite out of him. Itzal and Sloan attempted to aid him as best as they could. Each time they freed him he quickly was caught again. Sloan growing fed up of the fey, he banished Ushaka. Cambio unleashing a wall of light blinded Ulthe, severely weakening her ability to continue to fight in the battle. She was not hampered enough to prevent her from mauling Tazmeth continuously. As the battle continued to rage on, the Muskrats grew worried that they would be unable to win the fight without the aid of the missing Muskrats: Dami and Shade. Could the Muskrats prevail against the blinded Ulthe?
