Session Report 62
With the revival of Itzal's bud most of the Muskrats went to rest up and recuperate. Cambio, Shade, and Tev did not.
Instead they ventured out into the rich neighborhood of Upper Batgiand.
First, the bathhouse declared the three rats musky. Upon arrival the front desk lady seemed rather disturbed by the three greasy fellas who entered yet when they presented gold she was nicer than Chev's Grammy on a Tuesday. The three went in and got a real nice massage and bath. Some becoming spicier than others depending on which shampoo you chose.
After the scrub a dub dub and massage the trio regrouped and relaxed in the bath-palace. They mingled with some local elites and talked of industry, policy, and those damn pions rebelling out in the fields. The party learned some of the local hotspots and even got a recommendation on dinner, a fine dining location by the name of the Sailing Window. With their stomachs grumbling and hands pruning, the trio saw it fit to leave for supper.
The party rode a gondola over and were seated at a spectacular spot within the restaurant. The trio's table sat atop the second floor of this elegant restaurant. They could see the entirety of the restaurant from this spot. The angle was perfect for viewing outside as well. All could be spied; the brackish waters of the Halvoy Strait, the bays of brothers and sisters, and the northern mountaintops of the Grantacken range.
The sun slipped lower and lower as the party consumed more and more. Mead, wine, and all sorts of meat. A perfect dinner for three Muskrats no doubt. Unfortunately this perfection was broken by the interruption of one Nub, an old half orc friend of Cambio. Nub talked with Cambio and the trio learned of Nub's ascent to power. Sedre (daughter of Bron Icefall), the woman the muskrats rescued from a collapsing volcano was apparently so gracious of Nub for riding a boat with her back to Halvoy that she agreed to marry him. Again the Muskrats saved the day and someone else was rewarded. Yipee. Nub shared the Lord of the Hunt had called a second Wild Hunt. The prey this time: Shade. The Lord had grown so angry over Shade's failure and apparent theft of his bow that he now called on his followers to hunt him down. Nub told Shade that if he swore himself to Malar then he could gain new powers, granted that Cambio and Shade fight to take down the Lord. Shade accepted and Nub told the trio to meet him at a bar in the Wests called the Pit and the Snake.
Anyway, the trio was invited to a lil shindig of Nub's and they decided to go after dinner. When they showed up the tavern was rather ratty and torn up. Strange half civilized humanoids stared the party down yet Nub eased his way in and defused the tension. After some drinks and laughs, the trio do a blood ritual. Imagine the Midsommer movie ending if you have ever seen it. Bear carcass and all. Shade was inside, the homies around the circle.
In the morning the trio headed back with shuffled hair and a pounding headache. I wondered if Mr. Icefall had any eggs we could fry up.
