Session Report 39

General Summary

After an exhilarant battle with Negan the muskrats decided to loot his treasures. In the process of collecting a grand amount of coin the party was interrupted by a strange talking cat. The cat introduced himself as Opal who was once upon a man who was turned into a cat and has the power of a Phoenix to be reborn from his ashes. He offered his help to the group with healing powers, but the very intrigued Shade and Tev decided they wanted to test out Opal's rebirth powers by killing him. Opal turned to ash for what may be a few days. In an attempt to find out more information Zonraven woke up the unconscious Negan who was very cooperative. He explained that he really had no power and Nepharus was conducting horrifying experiments further in. Also Negan revealed that Tev's name is not Tev but Chevy.
    When Negan was no longer of use the group disposed of him and looked into his secret passageways. Inside they discovered a room with a lower level. Tev(Chevy) used his echo to search and found a gaged woman named Esmeralda. Esmeralda was an old fling of Tev from his adolescence days who he thought had died. Tev decided to leave her behind with the boulder known as Itzal. The rest of the group besides cambio went further into the hideout and came across a stream of sorts. While inspecting the area the Muskrats were ambushed by strange amphibious creature and one was strong enough to make Shade seem like a neanderthal. 
      After defeating most of them the witch doctor retreated and the group moved forward into a tight room to take a rest, but during the rest they were ambushed yet again. This time a strange assortment of eyeballs attacked and even managed to rip Shade's eyeballs from his sockets. Luckily the eyes were no match for the might of the rest of the group. Zonraven manged to secure and return Shade's eyeballs back into his sockets.
      However, the trouble was not over as in the next room the same eye shoulder men who swallowed Sauvek before returned but in greater numbers and with backup. Sauvek in his giant size was pinned and eventually met his demise a second time to the eye shoulder men as their bites were too much for him. After Sauvek's fall the group fought on in his name but their fight is not yet over.
