Session Report 20

Following the demise of the dollmaker the party plundered the area and returned to the ship where the F-boys lay in wait. Before boarding the ship the party was approached by a rather large group of denizens that needed a ride back to Kannaksen as they had nowhere else to go. The party was gracious enough to store them in the hold during the transport and upon reaching Kannaksen the denizens disappeared into the city. As for Shade and Sauvek, they were greeted by messengers at the dock. The first message was from Duke Kien Mora which was an invitation to a party he was hosting on the following night, and the other was a simple congratulations from Obsidian for defeating the Dollmaker. The first priority for Shade and Sauvek was to sell the riches they had recently looted and then stock up on potions, weapons, and armor. Shade and Sauvek made their rounds of selling and purchasing of items which took up most of their early day, and then decided to go to the Emerald Remorhaz Resort owned by Duke Kien Mora. The resort was very high standard and offered an exquisite room accompanied by the best meal that Shade or Sauvek have ever eaten before. After the one night stay at the resort Shade and Sauvek decided to check out the stadium and see what kind of event was taking place that day. It was a strength competition of lifting rocks, so Sauvek entered without hesitation leaving Shade to gamble with a handful of the dwarves in the crowd. Ultimately after Sauvek made to there only being a few remaining competitors he failed to lift a rock over his head leaving him to tie for 3rd place. First place was a large hooded figure who had no issue lifting any of the rocks at any stage accompanied by a dwarf that was gambling with Shade. A sort of mysterious high roller that really piqued Shades interest. With the conclusion of the Stadium event it was time for the few Muskrats to get ready for the party at the Dukes and find out why they were even invited in the first place. Upon arrival at the Duke's place Shade and Sauvek were invited in and instantly began to walk around and mingle with other attendees of the party. Not many of the nobles paid any attention to Shade or Sauvek, and some of them were rather nasty and elitist towards the two muskrats. After some time Shade found himself in need of the bathroom so he began looking around for it. After some time searching around he found the bathroom, but what was found inside the bathroom was something Shade would never suspect. A dead woman laying on the ground with 20-30 stab wounds in her torso. Shade called for the guards, but as they arrived the guards immediately blamed Shade and Sauvek for the murder. The guards transported Shade And Suavek to see the Duke so the two muskrats would be punished for the crimes. The two Muskrats were led into the Dukes chamber, but it wasn't only the Duke waiting for them. It was the Duke and Baron Pardwell waiting for the party. The duke and Baron Paardwell had some surprising information for the two Muskrats and a job proposal. The information was that General Bravios had been captured, tortured, and killed and his bones were burning in the fire place next to Sauvek. They also had the magical bow that General Bravios was keeping from Shade. The two men also warned the Muskrats to be weary of the Black Emerald Banner due to their malicious intent towards the Muskrats. And the job was a rather interesting one because it called for the Muskrats to travel back to Gladdinggod and Gormond to help bolster the defenses against bearfolk raiders that have been attacking and plundering nearby cities, villages and towns around the borders. The Duke and Baron Pardwell want the bearfolk raiders put to a stop whether it be from a peace treaty or from other more deadly means. If the bearfolk raiders are put to a stop one way or another then a payout of 2500GP per party member will be dealt out. The two men finished the meeting by saying should the Muskrats intentions ever align with the two men then the Muskrats should let them know because their is some more work to be offered. This concluded the meeting and Shade and Sauvek were sent out to enjoy the rest of the party.
