Session Report 113

General Summary

The battle against Taragak and Aavanzon continued to rage on. Cambio rushed to Dami and picked up her axe with a bit of what was left of her still clinging on to the axe. With the axe in hand Cambio teleported away to the corner of the room. He heard the voice of Lady Emni calling to him from deep within the axe. Cambio reached out and felt a powerful wave of holy energy wash over him. Drawing upon the power within the axe, Cambio focused the energy towards Dami's remains. Light began to twist and turn in an unnatural way. The light began to take shape and Dami's familiar form returned with a desire to enact revenge on Taragak for killing her. 
Itzal remained focused on keeping Aavanzon down by striking him with powerful lances formed from force energy that incapacitated the dragon with each strike. Dami and Cambio returned to support Itzal. Dami was hesitant of engaging Taragak again after he melted her, but she charged in and started to cut the blood hags apart. Unfortunately for Dami, one of the blood hags managed to wrap her blood sucking hair around Dami and then she dug her claws into Dami's face and ripped it off, leaving a horrific sight behind. The blood hag feld the face up and whispered to Dami, "Now I can become you!" Dami took that personally and gave the blood hag a swift strike with her axe and continued fighting without even picking her face up. With the blood hags defeated, only Taragak and Aavanzon remained. 
Finally, Aavanzon retruned to the battle and when he did he showcased her other powerful breath attack: his slowing breath. Only Cambio succumbed to the overwhelming power but quickly resisted it. The triumph was shortlived as Aavanzon then quickly followed up the slowing breath with a new blast of acid breath that severely wounded Itzal and forced Cambio to encase himself in ice to avoid certain death. With Cambio in ice, Taragak charged Itzal and began to rain down powerful strikes. Taragak landed another powerful blast of acid that burned at Itzal's flesh but he continued to stand strong against the goliath. As the Muskrats continued to strike at Taragak they realized that he was not falling. His regeneration kept him up and some force seemed to prevent him from dying. As Cambio emerged from the ice he trapped Taragak in a forcecage and the Muskrats turned their attention to Aavanzon. Dami led the way against the dragon and with each strike she cut deeper into the dragon. With a massive strike, she sent Aavanzon reeling and the Muskrats realized that he would not fall either. 
As that realization hit them, Taragak used his powerful acid to melt the forcecage and he lashed out at Cambio. Itzal took a moment in the midst of the chaos to ponder the pair's power and he realized that perhaps some type of damage could stop their regeneration. As soon as he shared that discovery, Aavanzon sent forth another blast of acid breath that washed over Itzal and sent him to the ground. Cambio called upon the power granted to him by the Snow Queen and hit Taragak with a cone of cold. His wounds stopped healing and the demeanor of the Achivelli pair changed. They became reckless and turned their focus to killing Itzal. As they rained blows upon the defenseless tortle, Dami managed to get a potion to Itzal and he crawled out of harm's way. As he crawled away, Taragak and Aavanzon's attacks stopped and the pair disintegrated, leaving only their belongings and dust behind. What had become of rest of the summit?
