Session Report 111

General Summary

The Muskrats made full use of their downtime following their visit to the Kingdom of Tortoi. The Muskrats returned to Halvoy, thanks to Itzal's powerful teleporation magic, and started to make a couple visits. But before the Muskrats could return tot heir business, Cambio and Vifrima went on a month long honeymoon in the Kingdom of Tortoi that was plagued with heavy rain and storms. The Muskrats started their downtime off with a bit of shopping. Dami invested in a new, fancy butcher's bib and various potions to prepare for the upcoming battle with the Achivelli. Itzal sought out additional potions and scrolls. He also took a substantial amount of time researching the Achivelli and their leadership to determine who they may face in the future. Much like Dami, Cambio invested in potions such as an oil of slipperiness so that he could be a slippery cat whe he faced down dragons. 
With a bit of shopping completed, the Muskrats traveled to the Three Stones Monastery for the summit between Hammerhide, Morrand Alliance, and Frostfire. The Muskrats learned that the Three Stones Monastery was once a fortress that was used to battle dragons. The monastery has a network of tunnels that extends deep into the mountains that was intended to protect against possible sieges by dragons. With the threat of dragons nearly nonexistent after the rise of the Achivelli, the fortress was abandoned and a group of monks moved in and established the Three Stones Monastery. As time passed, the Three Stones Monastery became an important location for political summits due to the remote location and that the monastery has historically straddled borders. 
Upon their arrival, the Muskrats were thrown into the hectic world of political summits. The various delegations were busy setting up and the dealing had already started between the sides. Before the first day of the summit, the Muskrats decided to split up and talk to the three heads of the delegations. Cambio went to speak with High General Walga Palecaller. While speaking with her, he revealed that the Muskrats now planned to focus a possible coalition on defeating the Achivelli rather than fighting Tritemeus. Walga was extremely skeptical of Cambio's plan. She questioned whether the Achivelli could even be beaten and whether they should be defeated. She questioned the fact that the Muskrats had no plan to defeat the Achivelli. Cambio left unsure whether the High General could be convinced. Itzal went to speak with King Gustav. Gustav was far more amendable to battling the Achivelli. He was immediately willing to commit troops to the battle against the Achivelli. Gustav made it clear that he planned to use the summit to his advantage. Finally, Dami went to speak with Ambassador Nezar Selethen. Nezar made it clear that he hoped to simply survive the summit and to avoid a crisis back home due to the transition to democracy. Following the conversations with the heads of state, the Muskrats bedded down for the evening and prepared for what would prove to be a few hectic days.
