Eranis, Realm of the Dead Gods

No one knows how many kingdoms have risen and fallen upon the face of Eranis. It is an ancient world of forgotten greatness, unknowable peoples, and unspoken tragedies. Not much of its ancient history is known, for in the wake of a world-spanning disaster, few if any records of the before-times survived.   Now, hundreds of years later, civilization has once more gained a foothold upon the world, and new empires and cultures perch on the ruins of past generations.
