Eques

Eques is a world on the brink of war. It consists of four main kingdoms, each with a patron deity.   In Timios, the sea shimmers and the sun glistens on the golden towers, but something darker and more sinister echoes in the dungeons. King Evgenis Soi is its ruler, and the rumoured cause of the famine and war in the kingdom. He rules with an iron fist, and has made the kingdom nearly impenetrable to anybody who is not Elven. Psestis Soi is the Princess of Timios and Step-Daughter of Evgenis, she is the only person inside the gates of Timios that is not Elven, and is hated on for her round ears by the people. Timios is a patron of Lady Skye, who has dominion over the sky, the sea, and voyages. The people pray to her every day that they will be freed from this prison that their kingdom has become, and that someone will come and save them.   Felix, on the other hand, is a technological marvel. Ships fly into the night sky, and its capital city, Ita, floats above the other kingdoms. Creatures of all kinds travel here from this world and the next to watch the eyes of its queen, Kaelen, light up the sky. But when Kaelen, a human, falls in love with her servant, Zaire, a Warforged, she is forced to choose between the love of her people, and the love of her partner.   There's Vicit, a kingdom less technologically advanced than Felix, but what it lacks in inventions, it makes up for in arcane knowledge. Vicit is a hub of magical activity, housing the Academy of Prestige, the only school for magic in the entire world. The kingdom is as much ruled by ghosts and supernatural entities as it is the council, who are growing weary and old of keeping Vicit in check. They are looking for a group of unified people to take over their roles, and lead the kingdom into a brighter future.   In Ioth, the peaks of the mountains are dusted with snow. If you go deeper, you'll see a man donning a white veil, standing obediently in the centre of a great building, watching as the rich and powerful count their money. Ronan and his gang of misfits spend their days hunched over a table, drawing maps and sketching out exit routes to The Olympian, Eques' largest (and wealthiest) bank. The Olympian's entry points are only a whisper on the streets, but Ronan is determined to fulfil his dream of becoming Eques' very own Robin Hood.   And then there's Breakaway, a small unofficial kingdom dedicated to the disbarred deity, Lord Odio. Nox Caelo Coetus, the organization who started this kingdom and claimed this country, are struggling to build a working society - their society is failing.   Eques' people need your help - will you save them?
