Session Three (KOT)

General Summary

You talk to a burly middle-aged man, with a thick beard. You can tell from his appearance he has kind eyes. He introduces himself as Gwydion Celerwind and he smiles at you and makes friendly conversation, mentioning he’s just come back from a trip to Brindlewood forest with some stock for his butcher’s stall. You ask him about the nearest brothel. He mistakenly hears "brussels" and looks confused as to why you are asking him considering he is a butcher. You then go and hide in a tree. You then talk to a sickly-looking blonde woman, hunched over a book. Her glasses seem to be falling off her nose. She starts to fiddle with her ring finger, before looking panicked and dropping her book. She introduces herself as Perdita Victus, explaining she has lost her ring and with the inscription ‘Acta deos numquam mortalia fallunt.’ When questioned, she mentions her “rival” might have something to do with this, and his mischievous children might have taken the ring. You search round town, and find no trace of any ring. You return to Perdita and she recommends you visit her “rival’s”: Gwydion Celerwind. He claims to have no idea about this ring but invites you all inside for warm drinks (and you clear up the Brussels misunderstanding). They flirt and you then notice a notice pinned to his larder door saying ‘In Briny by red’ (Brindlewood Forest). You follow the note and find two children sitting in a swing in a red tree. His 3-year-old daughter, Jadis Celerwind picked up the ring, because it was shiny, and her older brother Fabian helped her hide it. Before they can give the ring back, you are ambushed by two Awakened Trees. You form a protective shield around yourself and the others, and set a tree on fire. After nearly successfully defending yourselves from the attack, an arrow is shot, providing the fatal blow for the last tree. As you look to give back the owner of the arrow, there is no one there. Perdita gets her ring back, and using love magic, her and Gwydion kiss. She now keeps the ring around her neck.
