S.H.I.E.L.A. (Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Adventurers)
The S.H.I.E.L.A. guild was founded in the past 150 years by a Barbarian named Rowan Nicolai. This individual, deemed the Incredible Train, was famous for his talking great ax Sheila where the Guild now gets its namesake from. This organization originally began as an Adventure Guild tasked with training new adventurers known as Sheila Agents. As these agents became more powerful and the scope of Sheila expanded so too did their objectives.
After only 30 years S.H.I.E.L.A. was able to employ a Master Instructor in every known class field from Bard to Warlock. Recruitment offices popped up in every major city across the material and other planes. Only the most promising candidates were accepted into the rigorous training to become masters of their class. 117 years passed like this before a lone Druid arrived bearing news of a coming Disaster, an Apocalypse, that would destroy every plane in existence. The long hidden secret of the Eternity Stones, first discovered by the Silent Monks, was revealed across all of S.H.I.E.L.A. Six stones combined together with a staff capable of altering and reforging the fabrics of reality was destined to be used by a being of immense power ending life as we knew it. (3 years ago)
Six months later an elite group like nothing ever before seen called The Adventures was formed. This Group of 10 Legendary individuals included the Master of Eternity Stone Knowledge Newt Ozarka Wizard, the brilliant Dune Gallo Sorcelock, and the mighty Aero Nestle Palabarian. They traveled the realms aboard the airship SEEKER along with various Agents of S.H.E.I.L.A. searching for the stones and staff all the while protecting their homeland. (2 years ago)
2 years went by with little progress in obtaining any of the gemstones, with the expection of the mind stone rumored to have been found by Gallo though he claims otherwise. However, at this point in time S.H.I.E.L.A. completed its project STALWART which was a fully operational base the size of a large Castle that contained all the equipment for training, research, and transportation to fit a small army of Agents. This Castle is protected by an immense power generator developed by Dune Gallo and Newt Ozarka that can not only shield the College from the strongest of magics but also teleport the entire structure across planes.
Structure
Varying levels of agents lead up to the Captain of S.H.I.E.L.A. who is in charge of all operations. The higher level you are the more say you have in where you can go. Agents of lower levels must listen to agents of higher levels during operations only.

To protect the public from harm on a system and planar scale.
