Bishop Aethelwald (a.k.a. The Peacebringer)

Bishop of Erathis
Orphaned as a young child, Aethelwald was placed within a religious orphanage where he was raised by the church, shaping his religious outlook on life.
At the age of 16, Aethelwald had a religious experience which inspired him to embark upon Crusades abroad. Visited by the spirit of Erathis, Aethelwald was filled with divine presence. He was tasked by Erathis to spread the good word and ensure that all understand that there is one true God and all others are false idols. His faith now forms the core of his personality and shapes all of his decisions. It impacts on his patience of others however he strives to do good in all things.
Shortly after this event Aethelwald was inspired to embark upon religious Crusades in distant lands, once again to spread the faith and educate the heathens.
Throughout these Crusades he began to hone his skills, dedicating himself to training and religious study. Each day he would dedicate the vast majority of it to said skills. During the Crusades Aethelwald was consecrated into Bishop hood due to his vas knowledge of and dedication to the faith.
As the years passed he became sickened with the greed and gluttony of the religious leaders within the Crusades causing him to return home and represent the faith in a more honest and devote way.
Aethelwald thereafter took up his role as a seeker of holy relics for the church, further deepening his faith and his indoctrination.

Uses flagellation to repent for his sins.
