Vargaths

Appearing half-human and half-goat, vargaths live intense and driven lives in the mountains of Grunhijar. From a young age, they must choose to join the storm mages of the mountains or nomadic armies of the plains. After the choice is made, they undergo relentless training and discipline to master the arts of survival and war or magic. These challenges come out of necessity, as their homeland is a violent environment wrecked by storms and blizzards, as well as constant invasions of dragons and dragonborn armies. Each Vargath seeks to glorify itself and lengthen its name through mighty deeds and accomplishments. Outside of Grunhijar, Vargaths are rare, but valuable wizards and mercenaries who can make powerful allies and deadly enemies.
