Halflings

The short folk are a social bunch. Concentrated in Speydom but spread throughout the world, halflings find friends and favors wherever they go. Their bodies adapt slightly to their environments, but this transformation takes effect over generations, and three primary subraces exist today.

Anatomy

A halfling's ancestral growths manifest in a variety of ways, and sometimes these markings are not apparent. Yet nearly all halflings can be categorized as Bramble, Jade, or Tower. Bramble halflings sport plant-like growths, such as flowers, vines, and wood. When a halfling has bits of gold, gems, or crystal embedded in its skin, it is considered a Jade Halfling. Tower Halflings often have stone and rock growths, especially on their shoulders and heads.
