Goblins

The Goblins were on the continent before humans. They were a "less civilized" race. The Goblin tribes could not stand against the unified might of men. Goblins were subjected to many forms of abuse by the invading races.  In more modern times Goblins are considered second class citizens. They are not able to buy property in most cities, or hold positions of power. One of the only professions Goblins can gain status in is entertainment. Goblins are great musicians and actors. The upper crust of society love to be entertained by beings they consider lesser and are known to hire Goblin Bards and jesters. Goblins are often uses as physical labor on farms and in mines.  In spite of the rumors, Goblins poses the same capacity for intelligence, compassion, and integrity as any other sentient race.
