Lost Spawn

In the world of Entropi a lot of the Children of the Night have come out from the darkness and into the diluted light. Vampires were the first to emerge from the darkness of the night when the curse encompassed the planet. You however are not them.....not yet at least. You are the creation of when a Vampire feeds upon an individual with the intent to transform them. However your sire has passed on and for some reason you were not destroyed like the other spawn. Your kind wander the land in search of a new master in which you may serve, though that is not the case with all Lost Spawn. Some have taken to returning to the lives they once lived to live amongst the mortal men and women of Entropi and some have been driven mad by their isolation. Very few though have taken to ascending themselves from Spawn to full fledged Vampires. The method is not shared amongst the others of their kind or other Vampires as the knowledge is removed from their minds upon ascending.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Lost Spawn tend to differ from one another depending upon the type of Vampire their progenitor was. All Lost Spawn have sharp claws that they can extend or hide within their fingers and fangs that can be hidden as well. However that is where the similarities end between them.

Biological Traits

Lost Spawn can live for one hundred years as a Spawn before they begin to perish. Should they ascend to true Vampire status that age is no longer relevant. Majority of Lost Spawn require blood in some shape or form, however not all of them require humanoid blood. The Nosfrat can feed upon humanoids however they mostly feed from animals because they are ashamed of their hideous appearance. The Jiangshi are incapable of walking and instead travel through hopping or leaping, as well they do not feed upon blood instead feeding upon soul essence. The Strigoi are the most tricky of the Lost Spawn as they are shapechangers capable of shifting into small animal forms. Then the final and most common of Lost Spawn are the Transylian, they use their supernatural charm to get what they want when they want.

Genetics and Reproduction

Lost Spawn cannot create more of their kind until they ascend from a Spawn to a full fledged Vampire.
