Tortle

Tortles are a race of bipedal chelonian reptiles that are native to the continent of Sahulia, but can be found on Thiría and to a lesser extent Arinoth.

Religion

• Mak'tuin - the Star Turtle, first and greatest of the Worldbacks. This is only species-specific deity worshipped by tortles. It is said he hold countless worlds upon his shell.
• Intercultural Deities - gods from other pantheons that represent important aspects of their culture are worshiped (or at the very least acknowledged) as well, such as Ora, the lizardfolk diety, Ignalvus, the Draconic sun god, Raptora, the huntress, etc.
• Elder Elementals - having mostly druidic practices, tortles are drawn naturally to the elements. In particular, the plains of water and earth are culturally significant, and many are drawn to revering zaratans in particular.
• Cheloua - important members of their races that have performed legendary acts. It is said that either in death, or even instead of dying, they were rewarded by the Star Turtle for their acts, and given the power to travel to other worlds. Not gods themselves, but powerful tortles important enough to be remembered forever.
