Aasimar
Aasimar are unique, as they don’t really have a culture or society of their own. Instead of a truly distinct race, aasimar are the result of celestials intermingling with mortal bloodlines – often humans, though it is not unheard of for them to occur in elven families. In particular, aasimar have a strong connection to the bloodline of Duíndil, and – while a very rare people – are particularly common among the men of Heradain. The birth of an aasimar is often heralded as an omen of prosperity and peace, and aasimar themselves have a strong natural inclination towards justice and righteousness.
Basic Information
Anatomy
In appearance, aasimar are almost identical in appearance to humans, with only a few minor physical traits that indicate their heritage. Usual features often include shiny, metallic hair, lustrous skin, and jewel-toned eyes; however, it should be noted that certain features are more prominent depending on which of the three types of aasimar they are.
Growth Rate & Stages
Aasimar mature at around the same rate as humans until about their late 30's, at which point the aging process seems to slow down to a rate of rough one year for every seven human years. They can live upwards of 160 years.
