The Barracks (Toft)

Purpose / Function

• The original Barracks building was a storehouse built in the early days of the city to store food and other supplies for the growing city. Once the Bellum Divinos took control of the building, they expanded it and changed it to become the center of martial spell casting and fighting in Toft.

Alterations

• Originally a squat warehouse, the Bellum Devinos added additional floor both above and below ground, a training yard for archery and sparring, as well as its most prominent feature called “The Spellyard” where mages can practice casting destructive spells without concern of them injuring others in the city.

Architecture

• Flat fronted and made of reddish stone, the barracks is a near featureless building. However, an astute observer would recognize arrow and spell slits, as well as numerous other features that can be used if the building is attacked.
• The building is 4 stories tall with 3 publicly known sub-floors. Rumor has it that the library for the guild, on the second floor, has a secret passage that leads to another secondary library underground that contains the guilds most guarded, destructive and capable spells.
• The roof of the Barracks is Rust-Orange
