The Cosmos
What lies beyond the planet of Endais? Listed here is the rough cosmology of Endais. Be aware that this skirts the edge of being a hoary-bright question. If you are of a hermetic inclination, I would investigate that lore for a second opinion. A plane will belong to one of two categories, Real and Unreal. Real planes are locations that could theoretically be accessed by pure motion, whereas Unreal planes require some other force, such as a portal, in order to access the plane.
Reality, also called the Material Plane, Prime Plane, or Endais, is a Real plane that orbits Sola and is where most of the setting takes place. Endais is a dusty planet that is constantly battered by acid storms and filled with toxic water. An empire once occupied the planet and destroyed it, and after a few millennium other mortal empires are starting to reform. It has a wide range of biomes and creatures.
Lunis is a Real plane that orbits in close proximity to Endais, commonly called the Moon. It is a stark white celestial body that emits and bathes Endais with a faint light. Unlike other celestial bodies, Lunis does not rotate, and some people hypothesize it is actually a flat disk, but this theory is hotly debated.
Sola is a Real plane that Endais and the Neighbors orbit, commonly called the Sun. It is a massive red sphere of superheated plasma constantly igniting and casting off heat and energy, like an explosion left mid detonation. People theorize that Sola bathes Endais with heat and light instead of Endais naturally producing it's own heat and light, but this theory is hotly debated.
The Quiet Neighbors are an unknown number of Real planes that orbit around Sola. These strange celestial bodies are pitch-black, only seen by the circular void in space where their pitch-black bodies block out stars. Nobody has ever been to one of the Quiet Neighbors, but there are Akalaydi tabulas that state these are other worlds similar to modern Endais.
The Firmament is a black void, dotted with stars, planets, and nebulae. It surrounds every Real plane. It is an infinite, unending expanse dotted with small points of extreme activity. If any scholars have attempted to venture into the firmament in order to reach a Real plane, they have surely perished.
Pleroma is an Unreal plane, commonly referred to as Heaven or Heavens. Pleroma is a type of Ecumenopolis, or a world-spanning city, with little to no gaps for nature or unused space. It is believed that the Theon call this place home, and that faithful Endisians come here when they die. It is also home to the Angels, positively divine beings who are subserviently to the Theon. Little is known of this place, as mortals are actively abjured from entering and occupants from leaving.
Demiurge is an Unreal plane, commonly referred to as Hell or Hells. Demiurge is a series of deeply vast, empty plains of different clime extremes. Here you may find Devils and Demons, the former being the sapient occupants of Demiurge and the latter being the more animalistic creatures. Due to archaeological discoveries and projective sciences, studious Endisians know a bit about Demiurge, however this lore is typically left to Diabolists and Demonologists. Civilization is sparse in the harsh landscape, the foremost one being Dis, the city of iron walls. Demiurge is a series of 9 rings, each smaller than the last, where gravity is forced along the inside of the rings like a centrifuge. Every ring is separate, only connected by strange, ethereal rivers which may be sailed down.
There is another subset of other planes unknown to the scientific community at large, in a basin of spirituality that good science avoids. If you desire greater knowledge on the planes that lie beyond the real and unreal, ask yourself questions that burn hoary-bright
THE REAL

THE UNREAL
- The first ring is almost a mirrored reflection of Endais, if it were somehow even more sparse of life and bereft of civilization.
- The second ring continues this theme, however Cloudkills constantly batter the land with concussive force.
- The third ring eschews the Cloudkills of the second ring for acid rain that scalds unprotected skin.
- The fourth ring is Dis, the city of iron walls, the womb that birthed Devilry and that swallows the weak.
- The fifth ring is a great fossilwater delta filled with skeletal bridges.
- The sixth ring is a plain of roaring fire and burning forests.
- The seventh ring is a cracked-soil lakebed that fills and drains with boiling blood while the land plumes with magma geysers.
- The eighth ring is an eye in the storm, where the confluence of great heat and great cold meet, where tornadoes batter the landscape and storms choke out the light.
- The ninth and final ring is a ring of solid, glacial ice. This final layer is guarded with unholy zeal by the denizens of Demiurge, and not even the most skilled projective scholars are able to penetrate this last, most dangerous layer. Not one archaeological finding that has stated this ring's existence have ever described the ring in any greater detail.
- Esh, also known as the Tuning-Heat or the Frequency/Plane of Fire is a mirror of Endais, barring a few major distinctions. The ground is made of solid coal, ash, and other carbonates, fluid water completely replaced by rivers of boiling carbonate or magma. Clouds are created from smoke instead of water vapor, and occasional firestorms roam the land. It was once identical to Sola, a constantly burning and expanding explosion, however due to the Eschaton it is now a slowly simmering pile of dying kindling. Its occupants must constantly fight for every place of extreme warmth and are divided between the nomads and the civilists. Just because it is too cold for the elementia to live does NOT mean it is safe for mortals, who would combust on the spot if they entered unprotected. Take care to not breathe the air here, it lacks oxygen and is rife with acids and carcinogens.
- Maim, also known as the Tuning-Wet or the Frequency/Plane of Water is a mirror of Endais, barring a few major distinctions. The entire plane is undersea, filled to the brim with noxious fossilwater. Due to the deep pressure, few things can live down here, including light. The ground of the Tuning-Wet is pock-marked with geysers of freezing nitrate gasses and glass domes containing clean water cities. The occupants fight and scramble for every inch of clean space they can gather, and are ruthless in their fascist control over any corrupting elements that might introduce fossilwater into their ecosystems. If you can survive the fossilwater, you cannot survive the pressure and possibly the deep water predators who don't rely on their sight, unlike you.
- Avhir, also known as the Tuning-Whine or the Frequency/Plane of Air is a mirror of Endais, barring a few major distinctions. It is a series of islands floating in a constantly high-noon daystorm. Cloudkill winds blast the islands that erode and slice the landscape apart The winds blast with such force that it prevents plant life from growing. It's denizens are forced to rip into the rocky walls of the islands and live underground or to live a constantly nomadic life riding the wind eddies. Falling is the greatest threat, because you will fall forever, however the rib-cracking winds and acid aerosols are enough to kill you before you begin the descent.
- Adama, also known as the Tuning-Grip or the Frequency/Plane of Earth is a mirror of Endais, barring a few major distinctions. Instead if a sky or air, it is a mix of gravel and silts that grasp ancient ruins in a vice grip. The Tuning-Grip is devoid of all mineral value, every ion of non-silicate minerals sucked up and devoured by the elementia here. It is a constant wander and dig for potentially edible minerals for the Tuning-Grip's elementia occupants. For the non-native invaders, they risk being instantly crushed to death by the slurry, and if they somehow end up in one of the pockets, they'll need a way to stave off asphyxiation.
