Rawhides are quadrupedal bovine creatures, slightly larger than your average cow with a few distinct features, those being it's thicker, darker, and much denser skin and ibex-like horns.

Rawhides are accustomed to life in the badlands, typically shying away from coastal, forested, or desert regions.

Rawhides are pure herbivores, subsisting on badlands shrubs and cacti.
Biological Cycle
As a rawhide ages, it's horns grow and spiral. It is uncommon but still possible that the horns of particularly old rawhides curve into their eyes, thus necessitating ranchers to shave their horns.

By and large they are used for dairy, beef, and leather, with some small niches for burden, however they are usually outclassed by scumbags in nearly every way in this regard.
