Quest: The Undying of Ucwic

Events:

A recent streak of disappearances in the town of Ucwic held the local population in its grip. Whilst the adventurers stayed in the inn for the night the inkeepers daughter, Ella, was the third girl to disappear. The local guard suspected the party, seeing the previous disappearance also alligned with the last time Winston stayed at the inn. Durint the interrogation Tjartel and Puss pissed off the guards trying to arrest Winston, and were arrested allongside him. Only Jeep, a ranger, was allowed to participate in the investigation.   With the help of Jeep and Kenny, a young townguard, the party managed to escape and conduct an investigation. They started their investigation at the houses of the Pharmacist and the Tanner, whose daughters had disappeared previously. They learned some alchemical components went missing, and that all three girls had been in contact with the majors daughter.   At the Majors house they learned that the Major would pay a large reward for whomever solved the mystery of the missing girls. His daughter, however, had nothing to do with the disappearances. Something strange had happened however, the majors wife had tossed out all her black jewerly in a fit. The only thing they could discover is that her window had been forced by what seemed magical means.   On their way back to town the party saw an old lady on the road, kackling at them saying: "Three young girls eyes filled with dread, come midnight these streets run red" after which a town bell started tolling. Ingeously, Tjartel used his druidic powers to locate the rarest of the stolen plant, nightshade, leading the party to the graveyard. They traced footsteps to a magically sealed crypt.   After opening the crypt the party went inside, and confronted the necromancer Theandril of Moran in the middle of a ritual to resurect the entire graveyard off Ucwic. After a close battle they managed to kill the necromancer, interrupting the ritual and saving the girls.The party returned the girls to their families and collected their rewards, commending Kenny of the town guard.  

Results

  • Saved the town of Ucwic
  • Rescued all three abducted girls
  • Installed Kenny as guard captain
  • Gained a commerative plaque in the local inn
