No way out
I don't know every day is doom for me
Good news: I somehow managed to arrive to The Citadel. Bad news: all ports are closed.
Honestly I didn't know what to expect from a continent that's sinking in shit each day that passes.
Also, my arm itches more than usual and I noticed myself getting more temperamental.
Maybe I should pay a visit to the only person I can truly trust in this whole mass of land.
Goddess, I'm tired, please obliterate me already.
Oil and water
8th Day of the Third Frost 503 AS
Lafayette is starting to get tired of galloping, probably we should stop here. I'll see if I manage to ask for directions.
I've been riding nonstop all the way west, to where The Citadel should be. At this point I don't even care about the curse and the werewolf stuff, bullshit, that's made to scare the shit out of little kids.
I've been crying too, fucking rivers, like I've never did in my entire life.
Oil and water, none of this should have happened in first place.
A strange feeling
9th of the First Harvest 503 AS
I don't know how to explain this, but these days I've been feeling like things aren't going quite alright in Lochtir.
I've been consulting my siblings if it's wise to ask for a permission to go and see what's wrong there, I know they're not familiar with the land but it's still my hometown, and mom is still living there, so...
I'll focus on my regular tasks for now, but as soon as there's a possibility, I'll sail to my previous homeland.
Perhaps I could say hi to Uncle Lawrence and Miva if they're still there.
Promoted
8th Day of the First Bloom 480 AS
Today Sionia promoted me to Lieutenant General of my unit.
It feels like it was yesterday when I came here begging for a position in their lines, now I'm in charge of the the men with whom I lived so many battles.
I'll have my first official battle as Lieutenant General tomorrow, I'm both excited and nervous to see how it comes!
It comes from inside
1st Day of the Second Rain 478 AS
We woke up this morning to see corpses of Xepian soldiers shredded and spread around the fields.
The medics say there's no logic explanation to this, there's no natural force that could have done this in the course of a night without being noticed.
At least we're leaving today, we don't want to deal with that.
Stay Alive
10th Day of the First Rain 478 AS
I have never seen Kesefeon so despondent, I have taken over writing all his correspondence.
Local merchants deny us equipment, assistance, they are afraid something bad may happen to them if they help us; I don't blame them, I've seen the things they do to civilians when they don't comply.
And if it wasn't enough, we're running out of resources at accelerated rate.
Short summary:
We're stuck in the Infertile Lands. I don't know if it's good or bad that we're stuck with the Xepians in here.
The lands we've taken accross the Pilt River are being recovered by the Xepians after our troops are brutally defeated by them.
I'm not joking, last thing I ate was a piece of horse leg and a sip of water, after one week of an empty stomach.
There's reports of artillery attacks over the population of both Yorktown and Chesapeake, nothing official at the moment.
We'll gather at midnight to see how we'll work from this point, we're surrounded, tired and starving for help.
We're gonna fly a lot of flags half-mast.
Stowaway
1st Day of the Third Leaf-Fall 468 AS
I'm writing this hidden in a box with raw fish, among other goods.
Long story short, I'm leaving the Order. It's not what I wanted, and it's certainly not what I'll fight for the rest of my life.
My real destiny is among my siblings in Kolonia, hopefully they'll have a place amongst the troops for me, I don't care if it's cleaning the latrines, it's way better than chasing, killing and prisoning people for a lifestyle they didn't even asked for.
According to my calculations, we should be arriving in around three days.
Note: frozen fish tastes not so bad once you get used to it.
