Once the world was ruled by Dragons. Wise and greedy, selfish and selfless, they became no better than the men they ruled. Eventually they were overthrown, killed or banished to the other side of the world.   Man soon began to build his own world. Nations rose and fell, fighting over petty differences and championing great causes. Man had free will, but all of man cannot have one united will.   The three continents in the East - Madra, Suthos and Tolica - are each diverse and unique. Tolica was the land of the Dragon king and is known for vast riches and gold. Suthos, the land in the south, arid and primitive. Madra, cold, harsh lands to the west with cunning inhabitants.   The age is steam now reigns over the lands of man, and has done for over a hundred years. The plentiful resources that helped grow the kingdoms of Tolica and Madra into Empires of Gold are all but gone and war is rife. Greedy King Balos II of Hispora - "heir of the Dragons" - fights a war on all fronts, bringing destruction to each of the three continents.   The people now look to the far West, a place marked on their maps with nothing but 'here be dragons!' Though men have tried to push west to find a new land like the last Dragons did, none have achieved success. Now though, in such turbulent times, many have no choice but to head out and explore the unknown...
