Introduction

The Fanjaz Sweep is a revered heirloom, passed down through generations within the lineage of a petty chiefdom that once thrived within the early confederacy of the Water Peoples during the tumultuous Sunrise Wars. Crafted in an era when such weapons were commonplace, many were forged, yet most were lost or destroyed amidst the chaos of conflict.    Veiled in myth and mystery, the true essence of the Fanjaz Sweep remains obscured, its origins shrouded in legend. According to folklore, the first chieftain, in a solemn offering to the God of Discipline and Pride, was granted knowledge of its whereabouts after sacrificing his only daughter.

Karmaic Influences

The utilization of the Fanjaz Sweep is intertwined with Karmaic energies, imbued with Earth, Fire and Sky types. This infusion renders its use costly yet potent, as it requires a complex Karmaic Shrine Complex which requires The Fanjaz Sweep to be placed on the receivers of a Karmaic Portable Shrine for each type of Karmaic energy and with required offering for each one.   According to the teachings of the High Priest, the weapon harnesses minor Attraction crystals strategically placed at its base and cross guard. These crystals allow the wielder to manipulate the chain ring, securing it into place to enhance stability and control during combat. According to the records, there are additional two Attraction crystals on the cross-guard angled towards a point and situated between them is a seemingly simple water crystal.   Though the records note that many attempts have been made to imbue water energy through the appopriate shrine and offering, however this has not activated any latent abilities within and has been proven to be a failure.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Central to the Fanjaz Sweep's design is its versatile mechanics, carefully engineered to offer a range of techniques for both offense and defense. At its core lies a heavy-duty sickled hook attached to a chain, seamlessly integrated into the spear shaft. The adjustable ring allows for dynamic manipulation along the shaft, enabling the user to flick the chain to disorient or ensnare their target, or employ circular motions to intercept incoming thrusts.    Through the manipulation of Karmaic energy, the chain ring can be securely locked into place at either end, ensuring stability and precision in combat. Fashioned from silver metal and adorned with intricate copper motifs, the Fanjaz Sweep stands as a testament to the ingenuity and craftsmanship of its creators, embodying both the history and the future of the Water Peoples.

History

Currently wielded by the Chieftain of a fishing settlement situated within the Empire of a Thousand Sunsets, the Fanjaz Sweep represents a refined iteration of the traditional fishing spear, adapted for combat. Its design, steeped in tradition and infused with Karmaic energies, signifies its importance within the culture and lineage of the Water Peoples.    Crafted in a time of strife and upheaval during the Eternal War were these types of weapons were apparently more prevalent, the Fanjaz Sweep endured as a symbol of strength and resilience, passed down through generations as a testament to the valour of its wielders.
