Emperor's Retreat

Emperor's Retreat is a land of large forests, mountain ranges, rolling hillsides and expansive planes. While it is considered a continent, Emperor's Retreat is actually an amalgamation of disjointed landmasses, held together by unnatural patches of land.   See the Inkarnate map   Sitting on a seat of power from the center of the land is the Venerable Concord, an authoritarian regime under the rule of a monarchy. The victor of a continent-spanning series of conflicts known as the Continuum War, the Concord has put its main enemies to shame and reigned unchallenged for 32 years. It is the beginning of a new era, the Hundred Year Peace. But as the great cities of the Concord begin to fade out of view, so too does the reach of their armies.   Across Emperor's Retreat, nations wronged by the Concord seek reparations for the damages caused in the Continuum War, still fresh in the minds of many, even decades after the conflict. New schemes begin to brew under the Hundred Year Peace. The lands outside civilization are lawless, dangerous, and rich with adventures.   Despite the conclusion of the Continuum War, Emperor's Retreat still sees fighting on its most outlying territories in tribal wars, as nations prepare to exchange blows. As the coming conflict forms from infacy, a new authority rises in secret, gaining power and readying itself to destroy both sides when the time comes. Our group of adventurers must now fight to protect their home and it's inhabitants, before Emperor's Retreat is destroyed forever.
