XÆ, Arcadia
(Eks Ash, Shae)
Nearly all citizens in XÆ are descended from the original settlers who pioneered Martian colonization, who placed a high value on practical education and application of creativity and a strong work ethic. Passing this down to their progeny, Ashers today have an ethnically diverse background with an even more diverse intellectual background. From engineers and doctors, to lawyers and businessmen, Ashers find themselves rarely idle, and comparisons to other communities, even on Mars, even within Tharsis, find that the lower classes in this metropolis are comprable to the upper middle classes elsewhere.
Though the original settlers had a diverse religious makeup, almost all Ashers are Terraformists and almost all officials in the Tharsis government are from the settlement.
