Tauren (Tor-En)

The Tauren are a nomadic tribe of beast men notably resembling a cow human hybrid. Other than being a beast-humanoid, the most notable feature of the Tauren is their wooden totems called Ojib. Ojibs are created from the Ojibwe tree which are tall spire like trees that grow to a point and bud a single flower at the point of the peak. Even when cut down, Ojibwe trees over several decades still have the ability to regrow once placed back into the ground. The Tauren use these trees to inscribe their personal history on the totem which will mark their grave when they die. The inscriptions on the Ojibs begin at the top with the names of both parents in a ring around the top. Below the names are short descriptions followed by sequential pictograms detailing major triumphs or moments of the wielders lives. When the wielder dies, the Ojib replants itself into the ground and will begin growing again, but will keep the inscriptions on the tree.
