Lost Eye Tavern

The Lost Eye tavern has a large picture of the god Odin out front, though someone has put a patch over his eye and decorated it with some drops of blood leaking out from underneath. It's rather the opposite of Larkspur Boniface 's pub. The floorboards are rough, stained, and might have been swept last week. The tables are slabs of wood set on stone, with benches being made in the same way. But the company is warm and friendly, everyone is welcome, and overnight guests usually leave with most of their possessions in tact. There are prime tables near the windows, and some shady booths in the back corner. People greet their friends and tell stories at the former and have clandestine meetings at the latter. The Owner, Innus Porter, is an Elf. He is quiet and reserved, but always has a smile for everyone and generally keeps order. When things get out of hand he nods to a table of Dwarves who it seems perpetually occupy the shadiest of corners and half a dozen of them wander out with their weapons prominently displayed in their belts, and this usually settles things down. There is a wall in the Tavern which is used as a community notice board...everyone checks it regularly to see what the real news is...who is hiring, who is selling things, what events are going on and when the new trade shipments are due in. Innus finds this is good for business...people wandering in generally find they are thirsty after the effort of reading his notice board.
