The owner, a pleasant Elf named Evian Honey, makes candles from bees wax, beef tallow, and anything he can get his hands on that will light up a room and not stink too much (whale blubber, ahem). In a resource poor world you burn what you can for light and fuel. In this tropical climate the sun sets at the same time much of the year, which is too early for many of the clerks near the warehouse. So he does a brisk business. Evian keeps his own honey bees, both at the back of the shop and he has a friend who keeps several hives on one of the gardening Islands where they can feed. The shop itself is simple, full of light, and the products are all displayed where you can touch (and more importantly, smell them). The floors are white, the walls are white, and there is a large beechwood table in the center of the room. The walls are lined with shelves displaying the products, you are encouraged to touch and hold them, and strongly encourage to buy them once you have done so. The wealthy often send their servants here for soap when they can't get their hands on imported goods.
