Catastrophe of the Blood Angel

In the mountain of Bazrakarak, the dwarfs made their first settlement in history. It was a terrible day when Ion Firestorm appeared. Blood angels are an omen of war, and war would come spectacularly. The ancient dwarven city was built on the site of an ancient gateway. Ion Firestorm would unleash a tide of daemons onto the world. The immediate shock would see the horde spread far, and several other portals would be created to reinforce the abyssal legion. Lucas Welkinson, Archmage Agatha, and the Council of Edan would battle through the continent for ten years and casualties would be high.   Mercenaries would be brought in on both sides, and the forces of the empire would slowly start winning. During the last year of the war, daemons were sent to attack the Bastion of Torm. This was the site of the most intense fighting, and scholars of this military history find it strange that the general of the army Ion Firestorm was not personally directing the army. Supposedly, he has never been seen again since this battle.   In the last year of the war, the faithful of Shaundakul would lead a shocking lightning strike against the demons when a group of their conjuration wizards, Paladin of the watchers, and Horizon walkers teleported to the heart of the enemy. The gateway was in range for their wizards to put down, and their most skilled warriors would defend as the demons desperately tried to stop them. The gateway would shut, and the strike team would teleport away. While this operation took a great deal of planning, cleaning up the other gateways was not an issue, as imperial forces had far fewer foes to deal with. Ultimately, the last portal would be closed when the Shaundakul strike force repeated their same lightning-fast strike as the demons had already fallen to disorder; it was done with few casualties.
