Elorath: Shattered Realm

To look into the night sky is to behold the infinite of the cosmos. Atop this incomprehensible vastness lies yet another array of diversity for not all realms are alone in their existence, others yet converge. Reality is not static. Among the shifting infinite there are, will be, and have long been those beings who would be known as Gods. Mysterious & Powerful, they are often truly limitless within the realm for which they exist, others are limited by the forces that created them; Still few Gods know the nature of existence beyond the reality or realm they occupy, or rule.

Such was the way of the Gods & Goddesses of Elorath. They could only know the realms, dimensions, and spaces for which they were made. Within their realm, the beliefs that gave them life, granted them power over the very forces of existence. Their presence was well known to the inhabitants of Elorath as was their power, for ages they had shaped the lives of all upon Elorath in some way or another.

During this period of time few civilizations agreed on a unified system of telling time just as they agreed on little else. The age had many names, but it was in this Era that the Gods & Goddesses of Elorath had grown listless, sporadic, some even wild for they had known for Eons that something fantastical, something dreadful, beyond their powers, was converging upon Elorath. For the first time since their own creation they would be helpless against the winds of Fate.

Six Years before the “Revolt”, that split the lands and silenced the Gods, the civilizations and creatures that call this planet home, roam wild and rampant, young yet and the Gods & Goddesses watch closely as the budding races fight for survival over one another on the battlefield of their creation. Smiling upon & smiting as they see fit. For they knew it is here, within the Realm of Mortals that Fate would choose her Champions.
