Possessies

The phrasing we use for those who are possessed so to speak by a supernatural entity in Elmwood port. This is a rather catch all term admittedly and technically encompasses a wide range of different types of possessions. A lot of possessions are technically minimal. Simply holding a weapon or item gifted to you by something rubs off a certain level of energy upon you. Most of the times this has no problem but sometimes your emotions will start to change in turn. Get a gift from a demon? You might start to feel more rageful. A blessing from an angel? Your inner heroics may start to leak out more and more. Though that being said it is usually a normal amplification of things you already had inside of you be they bad or good. That change or enhancement of personality can come at a cost to those around you though. Even the good ones. There are more advanced forms of possession as well though involving a full control of the possessies body. Your generic horror movie stuff with ghosts and demons and their ilk. In real life however this however thankfully cannot be forced and requires a welcoming body and a willing mind. Admittedly though for some entities the definition of willing can be a little iffy and just being present for the wrong ritual can cause some havoc because hey you being there in the first place is permission enough right? That being said most entities seem to prefer a host with their own free will though. Those leaders that seem to be leaders during The Bet seem to be a little different. They do seem to have demons possessing them fully, but they also seem to be completely in control of themselves as well. Fully weaving between the two at a moments notice. Seems to give them more strength than they would by either of themselves. We haven't seen any proof of this but if they can do it it should be possible for any number of other entities to gain the same perfect synchronization that they do. In some ways this a comfort knowing that thre may be forces of good this strong as well. Though why they are taking so long to show their faces is beyond me. Though perhaps they are just waiting for the right people.
